Debby Hicks worked for over two decades in the travel industry. During this time she edited and proofread travel brochures and articles.
In 2006, Debby joined The University of Newcastle where her editing and research skills developed in the fields of law and business. In 2018 she graduated with a Master of Business Administration (with Distinction). This experience heightened her referencing skills.
In 2021, Debby started Perfectly Proofed in an effort to assist students to gain higher grades in assessments and for HDR students to have 'perfectly proofed' PhD and Honours theses prior to submission. Debby has years of experience editing assessments, theses, academic articles, training manuals, websites, non-fiction and fiction books.
