Font effects are a great way to captivate the reader. When editing, I often use small caps for headers or footers, while superscript and subscript are useful for formulae or equations.
Strikethrough and Doublestrikethrough are perfect for crossing an item off a list (rather than deleting the item).
Try using effects in your next document.
Have you ever left the caps lock on and didn't notice until you had typed several words? Just highlight the words, click on change case and choose Sentence Case. The first letter of the first word will be capitalised and the remainder of the sentence will change to lower case.
If you require all the words to be in capitals, highlight them, then click on UPPERCASE.
Format Painter is a wonderful tool that permits the same format to be used from one area to another.
This saves time individually changing the font, spacing, colour, highlighting etc for each section.
Think of it as using copy and paste, but instead of words, it is the format.
When editing, I often use this function.
